    I’m very passionate about being a teacher and love what I do. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Georgia, and received my Master’s Degree from Piedmont College. I love teaching first Grade and getting to know my students. I am happily married to James and we have two wonderful sons Dillon & Justin. I am excited to start a new school year as a Poole's Mill Pirate!

    I am very excited to be teaching at Pooles Mill Elementary this year! I have many years of experience teaching primary grades, and I absolutely adore my job! I love building relationships with my students, and creating a positive learning environment in my classroom! I have a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University, along with a Reading Endorsement.

    I am a born and raised Georgia girl! I received my undergraduate in Early Childhood Education from Georgia College and State University and my masters from Kennesaw State University. I started my wonderful teaching journey after graduating in 2012 and have taught 3rd grade, 5th grade, 2nd grade and 1st grade. I have an amazing husband, two precious boys and a furry child named Penny- she is a Goldendoodle. We love spending time outside with them when it is warm. I also love Braves baseball, anything Disney and the beach!

     Chonko  Fallan Chonko
    Hello fellow Pirates! My name is Fallan Chonko. While I was born and partly raised here in Cumming, I attended the University of Florida, where I received both my Bachelors and Master's degrees in Elementary Education. I taught first, second, and third grades for a decade in Florida, and then took a little time off to be home with my youngest son. My family moved to Georgia in 2021, and I am so excited to be back teaching in my hometown of Cumming. I enjoy spending time with my husband and two boys (Cael- starting 2nd grade at Poole's Mill, and Brooks- age 2). Also, in my spare time, I love to read, run Disney races, and do DIY home projects. I look forward to a fantastic year of learning and instilling a love for reading this upcoming school year!

    Hi! My name is Cecelia Kennedy. I graduated from the University of Georgia with my undergraduate and masters in Early Childhood Education. Go dawgs! I taught Kindergarten in Dekalb County for a few years, but moved back to Forsyth County with my husband and two dogs. I love being a Poole's Mill pirate and I am excited for another 1st grade year ahead!

    Hi! My name is Kristen Kirby. I was born and raised in Forsyth County. I graduated from the University of North Georgia with a B.S. degree in Early Childhood/Special Education with a Reading Endorsement and I also have a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with an ESOL endorsement. I absolutely love teaching first grade! I enjoy creating a classroom that feels like a home away from home and making learning fun! Outside of school, I love spending time with family and friends, going to the beach to look for shark teeth, and gardening. This is going to be a wonderful year in 1st grade!

    Richards Elizabeth Richards

    Hello everyone! My name is Elizabeth Richards, and I’m beyond excited to be joining the Poole’s Mill family for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. My passion for teaching and facilitating a love for learning led me to receive a dual degree in Elementary and Special Education with a reading endorsement from the University of North Georgia, and I am so happy to be teaching in the very same county that I grew up in! Outside of teaching I enjoy reading, spending time with and cooking for my friends and family, going hiking, and exploring national parks. I look forward to an amazing school year, and I can’t wait to learn and grow with my first-grade students!

    Troline Madison Troline

    My name is Madison Troline, and this is my second year teaching at Poole's Mill. I can't wait to meet my class of first graders this year! I am a graduate from the University of North Georgia with a Bachelor's in Elementary and Special Education. I was born and raised in Cumming, GA. I graduated from Forsyth Central High School, and I am so excited about teaching in my hometown of Forsyth County! I spent my high school and college years at Primrose School of Cumming West to gain experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. I love everything Disney and spending quality time with family and friends. I am looking forward to building strong relationships with my students and their families this school year!
