I have been a 4th grade teacher in Forsyth County since 2015 and also taught 3 years prior in Gwinnett County! I received my BS in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia while attending school on a soccer scholarship. I also have a Specialists in Curriculum and Instruction with a gifted endorsement. I love exercising and reading mysteries in my free time. On the weekends you can find me having fun at the lake with my husband, daughter, and son! I can’t wait for this year where students will reach their highest potential in a fun, challenging, and nurturing environment.

I am so excited for my first year at Poole's Mill Elementary! Forsyth County has been my home for the past 20 years. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a reading endorsement from Truett-McConnell University where I played soccer for the school team as well. I have recently completed my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Instruction from Augusta University along with my STEAM endorsement. It is very important to me that the students feel loved, supported, and valued in my classroom. Personalized learning will play a key role in helping each student rise to their potential. I want your child to leave my classroom each day with an eagerness for the next!

My name is Sarah Pennington, and I could not be more thrilled to join the Pirate Ship this year at Poole’s Mill Elementary! This will be my third year teaching 4th grade in Forsyth County. I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2019 with my Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I love to read, so teaching students about books is a dream come true! My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels safe, loved, and capable of great things. When I’m not in school, you can probably find me cooking something new in the kitchen or spending quality time with my husband and our two rescue dogs.
