I am very excited to be serving Poole’s Mill this year as the Pirate’s Path teacher. Pirate’s Path will be a combination of Leader in Me, fitness, teamwork, and cooperative learning to prepare our Pirates to be leaders for life's adventures. It is very important to me that each child feels loved, supported, and valued, and I am eager to watch our Pirates thrive.

Ahoy! I began my teaching career in 2006 as a middle school band director and have been a Poole's Mill Pirate since our school opened. I received my Bachelor of Music Education degree from Florida State University, my Master’s degree from Stetson University, and my Educational Specialist degree from Augusta University. I have completed levels I and II of the Orff Schulwerk music educator course and teach using the Orff Schulwerk process. I love sharing my passion for music with all of our students and believe that the Arts are essential for everyone. I am looking forward to another great year here on the Pirate ship!

Welcome, Pirates! I am Mrs. Jones, and I am thrilled to be the Media Specialist for Poole’s Mill Elementary! Before opening the Poole’s Mill Media Center, I was a 4th grade teacher at Matt Elementary School. I also have experience teaching 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and I was also a Literacy Coach. I am happily married to my wonderful husband, Bryan, and together we have two children and a crazy dog named Daisy. I enjoy traveling, boating, skiing, and spending time with my family. My favorite subjects in school are reading and writing, and I especially love children’s books. I am thrilled to continue to share my love of literacy with others!
