Parents of Rising 9th Graders,
As your student navigates the course registration process for 9th grade, if you have any questions, please join us for a Virtual Q&A session. We offer two sessions this week. No new information will be presented, this will be a time dedicated to answering questions from parents. The 9th grade Assistant Principal, Dr. Shrader, and 9th grade Counselor, Ms. Vargas will facilitate the Q&A sessions. Participation in the sessions is optional and not required.

Getting Ready for High School
Welcome Rising 9th Graders!
We are excited about starting the registration process with you this spring. Your middle school teachers will guide you through the course selection process. We work very closely with them to explain the criteria for success for the courses. Based on your academic performance in 8th grade and current courses, your teachers will help you build your schedule for your core courses (ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies). Students will have the opportunity to choose elective courses that interest them.
Please attend the incoming 9th Grade Night at South Forsyth High School nights in January. This will be a sneak peek into high school life. You will have the opportunity to learn about the registration process, explore campus life, and ask questions from our counselors and department leaders.
Please attend on the date assigned to your student's middle school. This allows for smaller sessions and more individualized service!
January 17th- South Forsyth Middle and Piney Grove Middle Students
January 18th- Lakeside Middle and Out of District Students
