Principal Kacey Martin

Kacey Martin was named Principal of East Forsyth High School in March of 2023.  Prior to his appointment, Mr. Martin served as an Assistant Principal at Forsyth Central High School for six years. Before coming to Forsyth County Schools in 2017, Mr. Martin was a Physical Education and Special Education teacher for 17 years in Gwinnett, Walton, and Fulton Counties. Mr. Martin served as a Head Boys' Basketball coach for 13 of those 17 years. He also served as a Head Girls and Boys golf coach and Head Tennis coach during his tenure in the classroom.  

A native of Gainesville, GA, he followed in both of his parents' footsteps of being an educator. Mr. Martin earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education at Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina while being a member of the Men's Basketball team. He then went on to attain his Masters in Health Studies from the University of Alabama and his Specialist in Education from Columbus State University.   

Mr. Martin is married to Ashley Martin who teaches 5th grade at Whitlow Elementary School and they have two children, Haley and Brady. 

Mr. Martin is a leader who truly cares about the students, teachers, staff and community of East Forsyth High School and lives out his core values daily. 

He believes that at East Forsyth High School, we can have high expectations for our students if we LOVE them and live by these principles:

If we do these things, we will remain committed to our vision to Connect, Collaborate, and Care for the students, staff, and community of East Forsyth. 

Mr. Martin is also very excited to join the One East Community and continue to strengthen the vertical alignment between Little Mill Middle School, Chattahoochee Elementary School, and Chestatee Elementary School.

Assistant Principal Kim Driesse

Kim Driesse was born and raised in San Jose, California. She earned a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Cal State Hayward, a Masters in Middle Grades Science Education and an Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont University. Mrs. Driesse began her career in education as a fifth-grade teacher in Fremont Unified School District. In 2003, she and her family moved to Cumming, GA. Mrs. Driesse’s first job in the county was teaching fourth grade at Chestatee Elementary. For the past fourteen years she has worked at Lakeside Middle School serving as a teacher, graduation coach, assistant administrator, and as assistant principal for the past six years.

Mrs. Driesse is excited to be a part of the East community and to support the students, staff, and parents of this amazing school. Mrs. Driesse has a son who graduated from FCHS in 2012 and a daughter who graduated from Alliance in 2022. She and her husband live in Cumming with their three dogs; one of which is a certified therapy dog, Ziva, who loves serving the students at East.

Assistant Principal Todd Holbrook

Todd H. Holbrook grew up in Forsyth County, graduating from Forsyth Central in 1992. Mr. Holbrook received his Bachelor’s degree from UNG, Masters in Teacher Leadership from Columbus State University, and his Educational Leadership Certification from West Georgia College. Mr. Holbrook has served in multiple roles in Forsyth County Schools, including Title I Math Teacher, CTAE Teacher, and most recently, Assistant Administrator/504 Coordinator at Liberty Middle School. Todd and his wife Michelle have three beautiful children who all attend Forsyth County Schools. It is an honor and a privilege to have the opportunity to work with the students, staff, and the amazing community, who will make East Forsyth High School such a great school. HEADING EAST!

Assistant Principal Emily Reiser

Emily Reiser joined East Forsyth High School in the Inaugural 2021-2022 school year as the Special Education Department Chair. This is Ms. Reiser's 21st year in education, and she is in her 9th year of leading in Forsyth County Schools.  

Ms. Reiser earned her undergraduate degree from Saint Joseph's University, majoring in English and minoring in Fine Arts.  She earned her master's degree from Mercyhurst University and her Leadership Certification from Valdosta State. Ms. Reiser's partner, Jacob Nichols, is also a Forsyth County Schools educator as a Health and Personal Fitness teacher and football and track coach at West Forsyth High School.

Ms. Reiser is so excited to continue her journey now as East’s newest Assistant Principal for the 2024-2025 school year.  She is looking forward to continuing her journey within the One East cluster and The East Way family.  #embracetheorange

Assistant Administrator Vanessa Garcia

Mrs. Vanessa Garcia, originally from California with 18 years of educational experience, spent her first year in Forsyth County Schools at East FHS, and LOVED it!

Mrs. Garcia will be on our Administrative Team while continuing to teach in our Social Studies Department. She looks forward to continued growth in Forsyth County and EFHS, as well as building even stronger relationships with current and future Broncos!

Assistant Administrator Paul Mallalieu

Paul Mallalieu was born in New Jersey, and lived in New Hampshire, but has spent most of his life in Georgia. He earned a B.S. in Secondary Education from Toccoa Falls College, a M.S. in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University, an Ed.S. in Physical Education from Jacksonville State University, and is currently completing his Ed.D. in Leadership. 

Paul began his teaching career as a middle and high school math, team sports, weightlifting, and Bible teacher, at Shepherd’s Hill Academy, a Christian wilderness program for troubled teens. He also served as the Head Boys basketball and soccer coach at SHA. He taught and coached for 6 years in Hart County. He taught special education, math, and social studies at Hart County High School and Hart County Middle School. He coached Varsity Football, was the Head Track and Field coach, and served as the Head Boys Basketball Coach for 4 years at HCHS. 
Paul taught math, social studies, and coached basketball and soccer at Forsyth Central High where he was named the Teacher of the Year in 2022. He was also the VFW High School Teacher of the Year 2022. Paul taught high social studies, health, and physical education for the last two years at Forsyth Virtual Academy. He most recently served as the FVA Senior Graduation Coach.

Paul lives in the East Forsyth District with his wife and three daughters. He attends Local Forsyth. He is looking forward to being a part of the East team. Go Broncos!

Athletic Director Matt Hollis

Matt Hollis will be starting his 3rd year a the Athletic Director of East Forsyth High School. Matt has over 25 years of coaching experience in multiple areas including Wrestling, Soccer, and Football.  During those years he has served as a strength trainer for both male and female athletes in multiple sports.  His leadership roles have included being a head coach, athletic director, as well as an assistant administrator.  Matt began his career in Forsyth County in 2002 at Forsyth Central and has since worked at South Forsyth and Denmark High Schools prior to helping build the athletics program at East Forsyth High School

 

He and his wife Angela have two daughters.  Anna who attends Georgia College and Addy who is a sophomore at East Forsyth.
