I have been teaching since 2018! I have taught 3rd and 5th grades in Cobb and Forsyth counties. I received my bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Georgia College, my master’s degree and gifted endorsement from Kennesaw State and a specialist in Curriculum and Instruction from American College of Education.
I live in Cumming with my husband Sam and our two dogs, Willow and Kona. Sam and I got married in June 2022! When I am not in the classroom, I love shopping, traveling, reading, and being outdoors. I am looking forward to building a new community and meet my future New Hope students and families!

Claudia Knight
Hello! My name is Claudia Knight, and I am so happy to start another year as a third grade teacher here at NHE!
I attended the University of West Georgia and graduated with my bachelor's in Early Childhood Education in 2017. Thanks to all of my previous teachers, I wanted to pursue a career where I can make a difference in young lives.
I have been married to my wonderful husband since that year as well. I was born in Lima, Peru. I call Forsyth County home as I attended middle and high school here. My husband and I have two children, Amelia and Hudson, and three pets, Luna, Rooster and Willie. I love to shop, spend time with my children and travel to new places!
I cannot wait to meet all of those sweet faces that will walk in the door in August and help New Hope Elementary become a place that feels like home!

Jessica Korte
Hi, my name is Jessica Korte and I love to be a part of the Nighthawk family. I graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I also have my masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia College.
I’m originally from Dearborn, Michigan. After graduating college, my husband, Tommy and I moved to Estero, Florida where we lived for 11 years. Though we loved the beach life in South Florida, we decided to move to Georgia in 2018 to be closer to our families in Michigan.
When I’m not at New Hope, you’ll find me either at the tennis courts or soccer fields cheering on my 2 children, Brendan and Kylie. I love relaxing at home, going on day trips, and rooting for my 2 favorite football teams, The Detroit Lions and The New York Giants!
