After graduating with my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, I began my teaching career in Florida where I taught 4th and 5th grade for 12 years. My family then decided to leave the heat and humidity of SW Florida and move to Forsyth County, where I joined the KME family in 2013. Since then, I have taught 5th-grade math, EIP Math K-5, earned my master’s degree and worked as the 504 and MTSS Coordinator. I am now serving the teachers and students as the Math Instructional Coach. I look forward to a fantastic year!

This year I am serving as an Instructional Coach at KME. This is my 25th year in Forsyth County Schools. I have taught K, 2 and 4 during my years as a classroom teacher. I earned undergraduate degrees from University of Georgia and Western Kentucky University. I then followed up with a graduate degree from Mercer University. I have two daughters who attended Forsyth County schools. Sophie is now a senior at UGA, and Ellie is a freshman at University of North Georgia. In my free time, I love to travel, read, work in my yard and spend time with friends (and my doggie Archie). I am looking forward to serving Kelly Mill as the literacy coach.
