After-School Academy is taught by CMES Teachers and is a fabulous way to hang out with friends and participate in some awesome activities. All After-School Academy Classes will run from 2:30-3:50p.m. There are no refunds for canceled classes, including but not limited to cancelations based on inclement weather, pandemic, natural or other unforeseen disaster/crisis. Classes are $50 and meet for four weeks. We plan to have 5 sessions this year. Class options change each session. Dismissal be a car-rider line on the K-2 playground.

Steps to Registration:

Complete the Online Registration Form for Session 3.

Once registration has closed for the session, you will receive a confirmation email with directions for payment. 

PLEASE do not make a payment until you have received the confirmation email.

Registration for Session 2 closes on November 15th at 3pm.

The payment window will be open from November 15th- November 22nd at 3pm.

PLEASE NOTE-  There will not be classes the week of January 20th  due to the short week.

Monday Classes  (January 6th, January 13th, January 27th and February 3rd)

Friendship Fun with Mrs. Forrester- Do you want to enjoy some time playing with your friends? Make some new friends. We will paint nails, dance, and play in my play kitchen.  We will pop some popcorn.   I will have a yummy snack and juice box.  Bring a stuff animal if you want.  On the last day we will celebrate with pizza.  Can't wait to make some new friends.

Gym Games with Mrs. Perez- Love playing Dodgeball and other fun gym games?  Students will use Gator Skin balls to participate in competitive Dodgeball games that will give them a great cardio workout at their chosen level of intensity!! Students will play a variety of different Dodgeball type games each week in a safe and fun environment. In addition to Dodgeball, students will have the chance to play other fun and athletic gym games in this club. Join us for a great way to make new friends and have a FUN time! 

Tuesday Classes (January 7th, January 14th, January 28th and February 4th. )

Craft Time with Ms. Black- Do you love being able to be creative and make new things? Come join me in making fun, exciting crafts together! We will learn how to make our own playdough, sun catchers, sidewalk paint, puffy slime, loom bracelets, pillows, and plenty more! Snack will be provided, along with fun relaxing music.

Karaoke with Mrs. Dixon- Do you love to sing and entertain? Well this is the club for you! Come join me and all your friends as we all sing our hearts out to the latest Kidz Bop tunes. Snack will be provided. 

Cooking with Mrs. Schwaemmle- It's cold outside so warm up with me in the kitchen. Do you LOVE snowmen, snowflakes and winter things?  Join me in the kitchen and we will make, create and/or bake winter goodies!! I can't wait to see you there!! 

Engineering with Mrs. Thomas- Do you love to design stuff or build things?  If so, join Mrs. Lisa's engineering club.  We will design things like paper airplanes, build items with marshmallows & toothpicks, and more.  The kids will  come up with next week's activity. 

Thursday Classes (January 9th, January 16th, January 30th and February 6th.)

Hot Wheel and Legos with Mrs. Tinjaca- Do you like to  build  hot wheel race tracks and race cars?  Or do you like to build and create things with legos?  Then this is the club for you.  Come join me in the afternoons where we can build and play together.  I will provide a snack and drink. 

Trail Hiking with Mrs. Moore-  Interested in checking out the NFHS Trail with some fabulous friends? There is nothing better than a little time spent in nature! Join Mrs. Moore each week for a fun run/hike on the trail, then enjoy some yummy hot chocolate and snacks afterwards. All miles will count towards the Coal Mountain Running Club. All levels of athletic ability are welcome!
