I am excited to be joining the 4th-grade team at Matt Elementary this upcoming year! My family moved to Forsyth County last summer, and we have fallen in love with the area. I bring with me over 8 years of teaching experience in North Carolina, which spanned from grades Kindergarten to 5th grade. I taught for many years in 4th grade and look forward to working in this grade. Prior to teaching, I obtained my degree at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. My amazing husband of 22 years and I have a beautiful family with our 3 children, Reagan, Ethan, and Landan, and our two cats. I am also a proud Mimi to our precious granddaughter Laurel. Hobbies that I enjoy are hiking, gardening, traveling, crafting, and spending time with family. I am thrilled to be at Matt Elementary and look forward to a great year!

I am so excited to be a part of the 4th grade team as a Matt Mariner! This will be my 24th year in education, and I have taught all grades in elementary, but the upper grades hold a special place in my heart. I was born and raised in central and northern California, and I moved to Georgia in 2007. I have a BA degree in Liberal Studies (education) from Fresno State, a MA degree in Educational Leadership, and an EdS degree in Curriculum and Instruction. In addition to my degrees, I hold endorsements in teacher leadership, administration, gifted, teacher leadership, and ESOL. My goal and passion is to provide hands-on, project-based learning opportunities for students to take chances to be innovative and creative, challenging their minds to their full potential while building a strong classroom community and family.
My husband and I love to spend time with our children, Isa and Daniel, usually at a swimming pool or ballpark. We enjoy traveling, and my favorite place is anywhere Disney or the ocean! I also spend my time training my therapy dog, Max, who cannot wait to meet the students at Matt.

Patricia Morgan
Welcome Aboard Everyone for another year here at Matt Elementary! My name is Patricia Morgan.
I have traveled here from the country roads of West Virginia with my husband and two of my four children, Tiffany and Wyatt. As a new teacher to Forsyth county, I am proud to say I have many experiences that I have learned from and many more to share. My learning background includes being a graduate of Western Governors University with an interdisciplinary BA and mathematics MA degrees. I have been teaching for more than a decade, given a range of settings that include public, charter, and private school systems. I love to try new and exciting things within my classroom and strive to guide and mentor student’s SAIL expectations.
I am looking forward to learning new things with the help of my students from the start of every new school year. My hope as a teacher here at Matt is to be a difference maker and offer something within my classroom that you will find in no other classroom in the building. I continue to change as a teacher, parent, and individual. We never know where our country road will take us so we should do our best along the way. Never pass by an opportunity to say ‘Thank you’ or tell someone how important they are in your life. Thank you for the opportunity! I leave you with this statement:
“Sow a thought, reap an action. Sow an action, reap a habit. Sow a habit, reap a character. Sow a character, reap a Destiny”
