Rogers, Daphne

It is a privilege to continue serving the students, staff, and families at Midway Elementary. As an educator for over 28 years, my experiences include teaching Kindergarten through 5th grades, serving as a Reading Recovery teacher, EIP teacher, Literacy & Instructional Coach, as well as an Educational Leader. I have a Bachelor’s Degree from Presbyterian College, Reading Endorsement & Reading Recovery Certificate from Georgia State University, Master’s Degree from Walden University, and Leadership Endorsement from Kennesaw State University.

My passions are reading, traveling, spending precious time with my family, continuous learning, and supporting the growth & development of both students and colleagues.  My husband and I are the proud parents of a son and daughter. We have called Forsyth County home for fifteen years. Our son is a graduate of North Forsyth High School and our daughter is a senior at Denmark High School.  We enjoy spending family time together camping, hiking, being on the lake, at the beach, or in the mountains.

“We are all rough drafts of the people we are still becoming. Embrace uncertainty. Some of the most beautiful chapters in our lives won’t have a title until much later.” ~Bob Goff

Walsh, Tennille

I am honored to be joining the Midway family! All twenty-two years of my career in education have been at the elementary level. I began my career in Gwinnett County where I served as a Third Grade Teacher, K-5 Math Specials Teacher, K-5 Math Coach and Assistant Principal. I have spent the past 7 years serving the Kelly Mill community as an Assistant Principal. I have a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood education from Georgia State University, a Masters Degree from Brenau University, and a Leadership Add-on from the University of West Georgia. Most recently, I found myself continuing my love for learning with a Specialists Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College. I have a passion for growing others and helping them reach their full potential.

I was born and raised in the Atlanta area and my family now resides in West Forsyth. I have been married for 10 years and we have an amazing 8 year old daughter, Brooklyn. She is in the second grade at Kelly Mill Elementary and loves gymnastics. When we are not watching her compete or practice gymnastics, we enjoy spending time together on or near the water, exploring new places, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
