I am so excited to be teaching First Grade at Midway Elementary! This will be my fourth year at Midway and my 26th year of teaching either Kindergarten or First Grade. I am a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and I received my Masters in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia. I also have completed my Math Endorsement. My goal is for your children to leave my classroom with a love for learning and a love for school. I believe that they will thrive in an environment where they are valued and, with that in mind, I will strive to make sure that each child has a special place in our classroom. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading, going to the movies, and spending time with my husband, son, and daughter, as well as our 2 dogs. This is going to be a year where we will be learning a lot and I really look forward to working with you and your children!

My goal is to help each student develop a passion for life-long learning. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with friends, watching Georgia football games, and reading books on the beach.
