Hi, my name is Molly Asp. I am entering my 6th year of teaching, and my 5th year as a 5th grade teacher. I have my Master’s degree from the College of Saint Scholastica and my Bachelor’s degree from The College of Saint Benedict/St. John’s University. Both of these colleges are located in Minnesota (where I'm originally from). This is my 2nd year at Midway, and I absolutely love the community of students, parents, and staff!
When I’m not working, you can find me outdoors. I love hiking, yoga, and any water-related activity. I am also passionate about travel. This summer I traveled to Minnesota and Seattle, Washington. I can’t wait to share my adventures with my students, and I’m looking forward to hearing about theirs!
My name is Lynn Bump. I am in my 26th year at Midway Elementary. I teach fifth grade all subjects. I am married with 2 grown children, and one granddaughter, with a grandson on the way by the end of August. I am a graduate of the University of South Alabama, the University of Georgia, and Piedmont College. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, a Master's in Elementary Education, and a Specialist degree in Curriculum.
I love to read, travel, go to movies, and spend time with my family. I am looking forward to this year at Midway.
I graduated from the University of North Georgia with a dual degree in early childhood and special education and a reading endorsement. This will be my third year teaching. In my free time I enjoy being with my family, playing soccer, or just reading a good book. I look forward to a great school year!
My name is Amanda Luper and this is my tenth year as an educator. Most of my teaching experience was spent working in Cobb County as a first, fourth, and fifth grade teacher. I moved to Forsyth County a few years ago, and most recently worked in Cherokee County as an ESOL teacher and an Instructional Lead. My husband Jeremy and I love living in Forsyth County! In our free time we enjoy hiking, mountain biking, going to movies, and traveling.
I am Jena Salinas and this will be my first year at Midway. I am so excited to be joining the 5th grade team as a third year teacher. I am originally from Florida and earned my Bachelors in Education with an ESOL Endorsement from the University of South Florida. I have taught 5th grade in Fulton County for two years but recently bought a home in the area, thus bringing me to the wonderful Forsyth School District.
I love teaching children in my local community. I am married and have been for almost 3 years. My husband and I enjoy traveling to new places and exploring the culture and cuisine. We have been to both the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic. I can't wait for the new school year!
