Hi, my name is Molly Asp, and I am entering my 7th year of teaching! Woohoo! I have my Master’s degree from the College of Saint Scholastica and my Bachelor’s degree from The College of Saint Benedict/St. John’s University. Both of these colleges are located in Minnesota (where I'm originally from). This is my 3rd year at Midway, and I absolutely love the community of students, parents, and staff!

When I’m not working, you can find me outdoors. I love hiking, yoga, and any water-related activity. I am also passionate about travel. This summer I took a road trip and drove through the following states: Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas! What a beautiful and diverse country we live in. I can’t wait to meet my 5th graders this year and hear about their summer adventures!

Hello Midway Elementary School Community! My name is Alicia Burgum and it is my first year at Midway. I have just returned from the United States from teaching in the beautiful country of New Zealand. I graduated from the University of Georgia, and I am so ecstatic to be working at Midway. I started my journey to become an educator when I was in middle school, and I carried this passion throughout my college and university careers.

My true calling is working with children and giving them the tools to follow their dreams. In my spare time, I love to paint, ride horses, read and enjoy my time with my family. I'm looking forward to spending this year with the students and staff at Midway Elementary School, and having a great school year filled with learning and adventure.

Hi my name is Amanda Luper and I am entering my 12th year as a teacher. I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Throughout my teaching career I have taught in grades first, fourth, and fifth. I also have served as an academic coach and English as a second language teacher. Teaching 5th grade is my favorite! I grew up in Woodstock GA and relocated to Forsyth a few years ago with my husband. We love living in Forsyth County! In February we welcomed the newest member to our family, our son, Dean. In my free time I love to spend time with my family, watching movies, hiking, and cooking.
