Hello Mustangs Happy 2020-21 School Year! This is my 4th year at Midway, but I have been teaching in GA for 15 years.

I was born in Michigan and visit my family often. I went to Michigan State (just like Mrs. Vallier and Mrs. Wade). I have two boys and a dog named Lucy. We love going fishing, and sports! I’m so excited for this year.

Hi Mustangs! I am very excited to be a part of the Midway family! This is my second year at Midway. I received my Bachelor of Social Work from Georgia State University in 2000 and grew up in Alpharetta and Cumming. I have a passion for creativity! I am very happy to be teaching Innovation Station in the Media Center where the children use their imagination to create and build while utilizing available resources.

My husband, Scott, and I have 2 children. Addison will be in the 5th grade at Vickery Creek Elementary and Joey will be in the 2nd grade here at Midway! I am looking forward to a wonderful year creating with our students!

This is my 10th year teaching in Forsyth County and my 5th year at Midway! I’m so glad to be a part of this wonderful Mustang family. I received both my Bachelors and Masters in Music degrees from Columbus State University in Columbus, GA where I attended the Schwob School of Music. My main instrument is the Horn in F (or French Horn), but I love learning other instruments.

I’ve lived in Georgia for most of my life, but I’ve only been in Cumming for 9 years. My wonderful husband, Brian, is a history teacher at South Forsyth High School and we have one son, Ian. I absolutely love teaching music, and I want every visit to music class to be an uplifting experience! I can’t wait to share my love of music with all of the students here at Midway.

Hello Mustangs! My name is Taylor Samples, but our students call me Coach! This year will be my fifth year calling Midway "Home". I am a lifelong resident of Forsyth County and have made my way through four of our wonderful schools. After graduating from North Forsyth, I received my Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from the University of North Georgia. My passion for sports as a child is what has directed me into my profession as a PE teacher! When I am not at school, I enjoy going on long walks in my neighborhood, playing catch in the yard, and attending fitness boot camp classes. I love to cheer on our Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Hawks, and the Georgia Bulldogs! In September of 2017 I married my wonderful husband Cody and we have a sweet fur baby, Thatcher, who is almost three! We will be welcoming a sweet baby girl, Parker James, in September! I am so looking forward to welcoming our movers and working alongside them to develop a lifelong love of movement!
