Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Kali Crump and this will be my 4th year teaching at Sawnee. I graduated from the University of North Georgia with a degree in Early Childhood Education/Special Education and a Reading Endorsement. I have lived in Forsyth county for the past three years, but grew up in Ellijay, Georgia where I graduated high school. I am very excited to join the Kindergarten team, and cannot wait to start another successful school year!

This is my 5th year teaching Kindergarten at Sawnee. I am so proud to be a part of the Sawnee Family! My husband and I are so excited to welcome our daughter Madeline Grace at the end of August this year. We also have a cat named Nimbus and a German Shepard named Zeus. I cannot wait to see what an exciting year we have ahead of us, and I look forward to meeting all my new friends in August!
My name is Heather Forbes and this is my 15th year teaching! I am married with two boys, Gabriel and Isaiah who also attend Sawnee. I am looking forward to a great year in Kindergarten!!
This is my 12th year teaching and my 7th year here at Sawnee Elementary. I graduated from North Georgia College with a dual degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. I love being a part of the Sawnee Elementary family and I am ready for an exciting year ahead!
My name is Shellie Keys. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Wayne Keys, for 28 years. We have 2 sons, Dalton is 27 and Hunter is 25. I have a daughter in law named Kasey, two sweet grandsons named Drake and Tucker and they have a little sister due to arrive in the fall. I have been teaching for 29 years. Nineteen of those years have been spent teaching Kindergarten. I have an Education Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and have a Gifted Endorsement. I look forward to the 2020-2021 school year and to helping your child develop a life-long love for learning!
This is my second year teaching kindergarten at Sawnee! My husband and I have a two year old son, Jackson, two dogs, and a cat. I graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2019 and am currently getting my masters through Liberty University. I absolutely love teaching kindergarten and can't wait to meet my new students in August!
I am a Forsyth County Georgia native and have been employed with Forsyth County Schools since 1992. I have experience in Kindergarten, 1st, and 4th grades. I love working with students and their parents to help every student be successful. I believe that learning is a life-long process and I emphasize this to my students. We all learn something new every day.
My Educational Degrees: Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education from North Georgia College (now UNG); Masters Degree in Technology in Education from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
I am a former Sawnee Elementary Teacher of the Year and State of Georgia Elementary Math Teacher of the Year.
Chris and I have been married for 39 years; we have two sons and daughter-in-laws and two grandsons: Luke & Hilary; and Jon & Lindsay and our grandsons John & Harrison.
I am very excited to be here at Sawnee elementary! This is my 20th year teaching, and my 18th year in Forsyth county! I have a Bachelor’s degree from Clemson University, a Masters from the University of South Carolina, and a Specialists' degree from Piedmont College. My husband and I have three children, Trip (10 years old), Corrie (8 years old), and Allen (4 years old).
My name is Amy Sanford. I'm a native of Forsyth County and I've been teaching for 29 years. My undergraduate and graduate degrees are both from the University of North Georgia. I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and I love all things Disney. The best part of my job is watching my students learn, grow and have fun.
