What is International Baccalaureate (IB)?
The International Baccalaureate Programs at South Forsyth High provide two related programs of study: The IB Diploma Program and the IB Career-related Program. The IB Diploma Program incorporates a rigorous curriculum which provides perhaps the most thorough preparation for university-level study available. The IB Career-related Program is a similar program aimed at students whose passion is with a particular career-pathway and wish to increase the rigor of their study. IB teachers strive for a shared academic experience emphasizing critical thinking and exposure to a variety of viewpoints that fosters tolerance and intercultural understanding among our students.
If you have general questions about the IB program, please contact the IB Coordinator. If you have specific questions about the curriculum of a specific IB course, you should contact the teacher of that course.
