About

During his career as an educator, he has served as an athletic director, social studies teacher, special education teacher, physical education teacher, and a head football coach while serving in several districts in both Georgia and Alabama. A native of Dalton, he earned a B.S. in Secondary Education from Jacksonville State University, a M.A. in Secondary Education from the University of Alabama, an Ed.S. in Education Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Argosy University. 

In addition to his work in our school district, Dr. Lowe is the current Past-President of the Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals (GASSP) and previously served as the GASSP President for their Board of Directors, as well as serving as a past member of the  Georgia Association of Educational Leaders (GAEL) Board of Directors. In 2024, he was named as the GAEL Jim Puckett Outstanding Educator of the Year by the GASSP for the GAEL organization, and in 2021, he was named as the GASSP Assistant Principal of the Year for Georgia.  

In our community, Dr. Lowe serves on the Board of Directors for the Bald Ridge Lodge and is a member of the Rotary Club of Forsyth County. He previously served in our community as a member of the Board of Directors for the United Way of Forsyth County, the Board of Directors for Jesse’s House Emergency Girls Shelter, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Forsyth/Dawson Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  

Dr. Lowe is a 2025 graduate of the Georgia School Superintendent Associations (GSSA) Superintendent Professional Development Program. He and his wife Valery are proud members of the community in Cumming and Forsyth County along with his two daughters, Mary Beth, and Anna Grace, who are proud graduates of the Forsyth County School District.
