Lindsey Adams - Board Member for District 2
Lindsey Adams earned degrees in both English and in Education with Moderate Special Needs from Boston College. She has worked with various nonprofits such as Special Olympics Georgia, The Center for Child Well-being at the Task Force for Child Survival & Development, and Love Not Lost. She taught 6th grade as a co-teacher at Shamrock Middle School in Dekalb County, and taught a Study Skills class for students with special needs. As she began having children, she was fortunate to work from home for close to ten years as a small group insurance specialist for businesses under 100 employees, providing education and guidance to both employers and employees.
Adams and her family moved to Forsyth County in 2012. She has four children who are students in Forsyth County Schools.
Adams enjoys helping others and is currently serving or has served as a volunteer with the following Forsyth County groups:
- Cumming Women’s Center (Whispering Hope)
- Keep Forsyth County Beautiful
- Total Wellness Collaborative for Forsyth County Schools
- Forsyth County Schools Superintendent's Parent & Community Advisory
- Local School Council at Haw Creek Elementary School 2019-20
- Parliamentarian on the Haw Creek PTA 2018-19
- Class Room Parent
“As a mom of four growing learners, I recognize I am fully accountable for their well-being. This duty, coupled with a propensity for helping others, has allowed me the awesome opportunity of serving on the FCS Board of Education. I am committed to ensuring students in Forsyth County Schools have the opportunity to thrive intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially,” said Adams. “I will serve to be the student’s voice always.”
