Macy Cook Hello! I'm Macy Cook. I graduated from the University of North Georgia with a dual degree in early childhood/special education and a reading endorsement. I have been at Big Creek since 2017 and I love using my passion for teaching. I love to be outdoors, read, travel, and spend time with my friends, family, and my Siberian Husky, Meeka in my free time. Looking forward to another wonderful year at Big Creek Elementary!

I received both my bachelor's and master's degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Georgia. I believe the ability to effectively communicate is crucial, and I strive to help children develop these communication skills in an engaging way. I live with my husband, Ethan, and my dog, Remi, in south Cumming. I received my bachelors from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1999. I moved to Georgia right after graduation to teach. I have taught in Special Education since 1999. I am married to Carl and we have 2 children together that keep me busy. My passion has always been to work with children with special needs. Working with them in high school was the best decision I made, because it was then that I discovered my love of working with children with special needs. I love my job and kiddos I get to work with every day.

I graduated with my dual Bachelor's degree from Georgia State University in 2015 and my Master's Degree in Special Education from Purdue University in 2020. Boiler Up! I have been married to my high school sweetheart since 2016, and we have been together since 2009! We both graduated from Forsyth Central High School. We because parents to our sweet girl, Juliette, in August 2019. I am excited to spend another year here at Big Creek!

I enjoy outdoor activities including hiking, camping with my family and our dog, and love reading and watching movies. I have been blessed to work with wonderful kids at Big Creek since 2017, in a MO, MCA, and ACA Class.

I joined Big Creek as a Special Education paraprofessional in the MOID class in 2015. have a bachelors degree in Psychology and masters degree in Special Education. I have more than ten years of experience in Teaching ESL, general education, early childhood and special education. During my free time, I love spending time in my vegetable garden or do some wood working projects! I also enjoy running and traveling.

I have been working with special needs individuals since 2012. Initially, I was a job coach/mentor for adults with intellectual disabilities and then worked with special needs students in a high school vocational program. After moving to Georgia, I was employed in Fulton County as an instructional assistant in a K-5 autism classroom. I have been at Big Creek Elementary since 2018 working with students in the specialized instruction program. I am married and am the proud mom of two wonderful daughters. On the weekends, you can find me and my husband exploring Georgia’s beautiful state parks. I am looking forward to another great year of learning at Big Creek!

Jill Hite Hello! I'm Jill Hite. I graduated from the University of North Carolina with a degree in Child Development and Family Relations. I have been married to my husband, Craig, for 23 years and have 4 children. Two are in college and two attend Denmark H.S. I enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, and spending time with my family. I am excited for another wonderful year at Big Creek Elementary!

Katie Bekken Hello, my name is Katie Bekken. I am originally from from Birmingham, Alabama, but have taught in Auburn, Alabama, and Savannah, Georgia. I taught Special Education in Savannah for two years, teaching middle school, and in Auburn, Alabama for three years, teaching kindergarten through third grade. Prior to that, I graduated from Auburn University (War Eagle!) with my Bachelor’s degree and my Master’s degree in Special Education! I met my husband at Auburn, and we just celebrated our anniversary in June! We live in Cumming with our sweet Golden Retriever, Nova. In our free time, we enjoy going to the lake, spending time with family, and going to Auburn football games! 710248
Karen Kipley Hello! My name is Karen Kipley. I graduated from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with my Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 1995 and earned my Bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University in 1991. I have worked in a variety of settings including: Babies Can’t Wait, hospitals, special needs daycare, private practice and schools. I love empowering my students to communicate! I have two boys, Logan and Keegan who keep me busy. In my spare time I enjoy reading, crafting, woodworking, sewing, and swimming. In 2015, I began as a substitute teacher with most of those days subbing here at Big Creek, including a long-term assignment. In 2018, I became an Instructional Assistant for Big Creek. Kaitlyn Crawford My name is Kaitlyn Crawford and I am excited to be at Big Creek this year! I received my Bachelors in Early Childhood/ Special Education, as well as my Masters in Early Childhood Education from North Georgia. I also received my Specialist in Instructional Technology. I have been in Forsyth County since 2017, and prior to that I taught in Gwinnett County for 4 years. I love traveling, spending time with friends and family, anything Disney, and working out. I also enjoy watching the Braves and Bulldogs! I am excited for this school year with our kids! 710241

I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a minor in African American Studies. Tiffany Henry 710254 McKensie Martin Hello! I am Ms. Martin and I am so excited to be a part of the Big Creek family! I graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Psychology and I am completing my masters in Special Education. I am a product of Forsyth County Schools and I’m so thankful to be able to give back to my community as a teacher. When I am not at BCES, I enjoy cooking, watching movies, and spending time with my son and our family. I am very family-oriented, and working at Big Creek feels like home. Kristi Womack Hi! My name is Kristi Womack. I graduated from North Georgia College & State University in 2008 with a dual degree in Early Childhood & Special Education and a reading endorsement. I received my Master's Degree in Elementary Mathematics and my Specialist Degree in Curriculum & Instruction. I started my teaching career in Gwinnett County in 2008 and I have been at Big Creek since 2020. I've been married to my husband, Neil, since 2009 and we have 2 children. We also have 2 sweet pups, Peach & Daisy. In my spare time I do machine embroidery and play tennis. I love my job and I am proud to be a Wildcat! 710415
