    What is DECA? 

    DECA (An Association of Marketing Students) is an integral part of the marketing curriculum and all marketing students are highly encouraged to join DECA. Membership enables students to participate in DECA activities which include: Competitions (Regional, State and International Career Development Conference), Field Trips (Six Flags, Leadership Conferences, businesses), community service and members are eligible to receive National DECA and Georgia DECA scholarships. DECA dues are $30 (membership only), $45 (membership + t-shirt.) Lambert DECA is the 3rd largest chapter in the State and 5th largest chapter in the World!

    Chapter Meetings:
    DECA meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7:45am in room 1611. Members receive goodies, hear news from their DECA officers, and have a chance to win prizes if they wear a DECA t-shirt.

    DECA Graduation Cord Requirements:
    Per the graduation committee and DECA Advisors the following requirements will ensure graduation with DECA Honors and those eligible will be able to wear the DECA Honor's Cord at Graduation:
         *3.5 GPA in Marketing Classes
         *3 courses in the pathway completed and End of Pathway test taken
         *Placed at State any year at Lambert
         *A member of DECA for their year of competition AND their graduation year

    **Refer to the NTHS website for information on how to obtain a NTHS Honor's Cord through your involvement in DECA.
     
    DECA Letter Requirements:
     First Option:

    1.    LHS DECA Officer that has been involved in

    2.  Competed at State Competition

    3.  Completed 6 service/events projects a year (with DECA)

     

    Second Option:

    1.    Competed AND placed at State

    2.  Completed 6 service/events projects a year (with DECA)
     
     
    DECA members will be added to the LHS DECA Canvas page where most information will be delivered.
     
     
    End of Pathway Graduation Recognition:
    •Seal of Completion:
    •Complete a pathway and pass the End of Pathway Assessment
    •Seal of Distinction:
    •Complete a pathway and pass the End of Pathway Assessment, participate in DECA, GPA of 3.0, Complete an internship or project with Marketing
    •Medallion:
    •Complete a pathway and pass the End of Pathway Assessment, participate in DECA, GPA of 3.0, complete 2 foreign language and 2 AP courses, member of NTHS, and complete an internship or project with marketing
