    Club Overview: 
     
    Mu Alpha Theta is the National High School and Two-Year College Mathematics Honor Society. We are dedicated to inspiring keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics in high school and two-year college students.
     
     
    Announcement:

    Applications for this school year are currently closed.

     

    Our Mu Alpha Theta meetings are held in the Media Center at 3:45 on the following dates:

    Requirements: 

    Newly inducted Seniors: 15 service hours and 5 meetings to recieve cord at graduation.

    Returning Seniors: 10 additional service hours (total of 20) and 4 meetings (total of 8) to recieve cord at graduation.

    Newly inducted Juniors: At least 10 service hours and 4 meetings. Next year will be the same.

    Juniors: If you do not complete all requirements (service hours) they will carry over into next year.

    Club Overview:
    The Math team participates in mathematics competitions. Some of the competitions are after school while others take place during the school day. Some competitions take place on Saturdays at various high schools and colleges.
     
    Club Meeting Times:
    The math team meets every Tuesday after school from 3:45 to 4:30 in room 1212.

    2018-2019 Accomplishments:

    Our Math Team did an awesome job at UGA on October 20th.
    Out of 329 students, 89 teams, 44 schools; we had students place 5th, 14th, and 33rd individually. We had a team rank 7th!

    Our Math Team performed great at Rockdale on October 27th.
    Our Varsity team placed 4th out of 28 teams in the Large school division. (SO CLOSE to bringing home a trophy). Our JV teams placed 9th and 17th out of 26 teams in the Large school division.

    Our Varsity team did a great job at the North Fulton Math Competition! This is one of the toughest tests. Here is  our Varsity team members showing off our 3rd place team trophy!

    Math Circle - Tri-Math Tournament
    Students had fun with this Harry Potter themed math competition. 
    Out of 36 Total School, 106 Teams, and 451 Students... Our Team tied for 2nd place!
     
    AMC - We had 3 students qualify for the AIME: Aadi, Eric, and Jingchu!

    Georgia Tech: We had a great time at Georgia Tech. It is one of the toughest math competitions.
