Grades K-5 Social Studies Specialist
Grades 6-12 Social Studies Specialist Lani DeLallo Eric Lauterbach 770-887-2461 ext. 204229 770.887.2461 ext. 204230 The Social Studies Curriculum of Forsyth County Schools supports our district Learner Profile by preparing students to be informed citizens who will engage and compete in a global environment. Social studies instruction teaches students to seek knowledge and understanding and to think critically about the world around them. Through the study of geography, history, economics, and government/civic responsibilities, students develop an awareness of United States history, national and world events, and the cultures of the world in relation to one’s own. The integration of literacy skills within the curriculum also teaches students to develop the communication skills necessary to prepare them for the future.
