• Welcome

We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with you during the 2018-2019 school year.  Each teacher is very passionate about the education of your child and will work hard each day to give them everything they need to be successful. As third grade teachers, we believe that all the children that walk our hall belong to us and we work closely together to educate your whole child.  Please feel free to contact us at anytime if you have any questions or concerns.  We look forward to a fabulous year!

    Reading
We will read many exciting stories in class. Guided reading groups will enable the students to develop fluency and comprehension in reading, as well as learning new skills and strategies. Some of the skills that we focus on are: main idea and details, sequencing, author's purpose, genre, vocabulary in context, inferencing, and comparison/contrast.  This year the student's will be encouraged to look more closely into the text to gain a complete understanding.
