Our number one goal is to help our students be the best they can be in all areas of the curriculum. We are dedicated to your child's education and hope for a successful school year.
Mrs. Kathleen Jacobsen
I am a graduate of Michigan State University with twenty-three years of teaching experience. I have taught many different grade levels, and I am continually amazed at how unique each experience is. All in all, inspiring students to learn and be self directed is my favorite part!
Mrs. Susan Madore
I'm so excited to be working with your child. Fourth grade is an exciting time to learn and grow. I look forward to helping your child during this important transitional year. I am originally from New Jersey - the daughter of two school teachers. I graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Economics and went on to obtain my CPA. After working in the corporate world for several years, I left to start a family. It was during this time with my children that I discovered my desire to teach. With two parents being teachers, I guess it's always been in my blood! I went back to school to Brenau University to get my teachers certification and feel that I have truly found my calling. I've been at Shiloh Point since it opened in 2006.
Mrs. Jennifer Montgomery
Welcome to 4th grade! I've been a 4th grade teacher for several years, and I'm so excited to be teaching you (your child)! I have an undergraduate degree from UGA (Go Dawgs!) and a master's degree from Piedmont College. I hope my love for learning inspires you to be a life long learner too!
Mrs. Angana Ghate
I look forward to another year in the classroom, because it is where I find great joy! In almost two decades I have taught almost all grades between K-6. I love teaching & having the opportunity to share in the passions of my learners every day. I am a learner at heart myself & hope to instill that passion in my students as well. Learning alongside them, inspires all of us to expand our minds, brings us together as a caring classroom community, & supports student ownership of learning."Do what you love, and love what you do." ~Thoreau
Mrs. Jean Kim
Hello! My name is Jean Kim. I am beyond thrilled to be part of the fourth grade team at Shiloh Point Elementary School. I was a long-term substitute for a fourth grade teacher starting in February of 2019. I fell in love with this school community and staff. It is truly an honor to be part of a group comprised of stellar teachers!
I received my Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of South Carolina. I also obtained a Master’s degree in early childhood education from the University of Georgia. I love the SEC! My previous teaching experiences are in Lexington County as well as Gwinnett County. I have taught six years. I am passionate about being a continuous learner so that I can support and strengthen my students in variety of ways. Being a teacher has been a childhood dream since I was seven years old! I received early practice with my stuffed animals, served as a Sunday School teacher, and tutored ESOL students. I love learning and teaching with all of my students! Each student is beautifully unique. I am passionate and dedicated in making learning relevant, engaging, and fun for all. There is so much magic that happens in the classroom and being part of that is indescribable! During my free time, I love crafting, chasing around my two dogs, traveling, and working a skincare business as well. Along with supporting and collaborating with other teachers, I am excited to work with your child and partner with you in their learning journey! My name is Kayla McBrayer, and I am so excited to be joining the 4th grade team at Shiloh Point! Over the years, I have gained experience working at Silver City Elementary and Vickery Creek Elementary in Forsyth County! My passion for education and working with children began as a summer camp counselor and blossomed into a love for educating others. Personally, my favorite part of teaching is building relationships with my students!I am overjoyed to be joining such a loving, community driven school like Shiloh Point! When I'm not at school, I love to spend time with my friends and family, eat delicious food, and travel as much as possible! I really can't wait to be a Shiloh Point Shark!

I'm so excited to be your child’s 4th grade teacher. As we prepare for 5th grade and beyond, I look forward to helping your child during this important transitional year. I am originally from Illinois (Go CUBS!). I graduated from Illinois State University in '04 with my Bachelors in Education and went on to earn my Masters from Concordia University in School Leadership and Administration. I love working with children and seeing the light bulb go off as they learn and process new things. My goal for each of your children is to feel comfortable, challenged and confident.
Mrs. Ashlan Short
I am honored and excited to be your child's 4th grade teacher! I grew up in Florida and graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, as well as being certified in Special Education and an English Speakers of Other Languages Endorsement. My heart has a huge place in it for children. I love to be a role model for my students, not only teaching them the academics they need to succeed, but also life lessons that I hope they will take with them for the future. My goal is that one day, far from now, my students remember something special I taught them that they will carry with them every day.
Mrs. Suzanne LeVan
I am excited to start my 2nd year here at Shiloh Point! This marks my seventh year of teaching. I graduated from Kennesaw State University with Psychology and Early Childhood Education degrees. I am certified in P-5 as well as Middle Grades math. I also have my Reading Endorsement. I live in Forsyth County with my husband, Dan, and two wonderful boys. When I am not chasing them, I like to put on my running shoes. I cannot wait to meet and see your child grow into a wonderful student!
