Our counseling department provides a comprehensive American School Counselor Association (ASCA) program for all students.
An ASCA program includes classroom guidance, small group lessons, and individual counseling. The elementary school counselor's role includes three major areas: facilitator, consultant and coordinator.

I received my undergratue degree from Mercer University and a Masters in Counseling Education from Clemson University. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and currently pursuing my License Professional Counseling Certification. Counseling is my passion, and I love my job. I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Special Education from Michigan State University and a Master of Education in School Counseling from Georgia State University. I have been a school counselor for 30+ years, working at the elementary and middle school levels. I am a License Professional Counselor. My passion is working with students using Play Therapy, Sandplay and Expressive Arts. I am also interested in Mindfulness and yoga for children and teens. I am excited to join the counseling team at Shiloh Point Elementary. This year I will be working with Kindergarten, first and second grade students. I have been a school counselor for twenty years. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from The University of Georgia, a Master's in School Counseling from Georgia State University, and an Educational Specialist in School Counseling from The University of Georgia. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist. I enjoy reaching children using a creative, child-friendly approach. Outside of school, I enjoy kayaking, hiking with my dog, and SEC football. Go Dawgs!
