    Forsyth County's First Orchestra Program
     
    The Lambert High School Orchestra was established in 2011 to become the first orchestra program in Forsyth County, Georgia. Founded and directed by Julie Rosseter, this ensemble has distinguished itself by its commitment to excellence, creative collaboration, and community service. Recently, the LHS Orchestra met with great acclaim as performers for the Rome, Italy New Years Concerts, the Magnolia Chamber Music Festival, and as featured artists at the Pianos for Peace Music Festival in Atlanta, GA.  The ensemble won the Grand Prize at the Feis Na Tara Music Competition, and consistently receives Superior Ratings at the the GMEA Large Group Performance Evaluations.  In 2017, the orchestra presented the Southeastern premiere of The Celtic Mass by Rick Holt.  The Lambert Orchestra welcomes new musical adventures, and has collaborated with pianist Malek Jandali, the Manhattan String Quartet, the Sharon Forks Public Library, and The Atlanta Opera.  LHS Orchestra members participate in the All State Orchestras, Georgias's Governor's Honors Program, the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the Atlanta Youth Symphony Orchestra.

    Meet Director Julie Rosseter: 
     
    Violist Julie Rosseter enjoys a multifaceted career as a performer and teacher.  She is a core member of the Atlanta Opera Orchestra, a founding member of the Kazanetti String Quartet, and she frequently performs with local orchestras including the Atlanta Ballet and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.  A diverse musician, Julie has released several CDs with the indie rock band The Renters, and along with her string quartet is an Artist-in-Residence at Georgia College. She has presented masterclasses for the Ohio State University and for numerous other colleges and universities across the country.   She holds a Bachelor's degree from Indiana University School of Music, a Masters degree from Wichita State University where she was a Blumfield Fellow, and an Artist Diploma in Chamber Music from Duquesne University.  In 2011, Julie started the first strings program in Forsyth County, GA, and in 2018, she became Forsyth's first full-time orchestra director.  She is proud to continue her work at Lambert where she teaches Orchestra, Music Theory, and is the sponsor of the Tri-M National Music Honor Society.
