Beneficial for students who are interested in knowing about the admissions process and some information about opportunities at UGA.
What? Splash UNC
When? November 10th, 9:00 am-5:00 pm
Where? University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Cost? $20 (lunch included)
Splash UNC is a bi-annual program where high school students have the opportunity to attend classes taught and created by Carolina students. Classes include a variety of interesting topics ranging from chemistry and swing dancing to neuroscience and Harry Potter. The classes we are offering this semester aim to help high school students explore their current interests and discover new passions.
Payment accepted online through the registration page where students can also pre-order a Splash UNC t-shirt for $10. The program fee will also be accepted in cash or by check the day of the event when students come to campus.

What? Tour of UNG Dahlonega Campus
When? Money and Field Trip form due Oct. 3rd, trip will be Oct. 10th
Where? Buses would load and unload at Denmark High School
Cost? $20 (food and transportation)
DHS Counseling Office had enough interest shown to offer an option for 11th Graders to tour the UNG Dahlonega Campus. This would be offered on PSAT Day (Oct. 10th) so little to no course work will be missed (can't take PSAT and take trip). It is a great opportunity to see what is offered to our students at a college that is close to home. Students would load a bus and leave from school and return to school. $20 for transportation and lunch.
If interested, come by the counseling office to pick up a field trip form and turn the form in with $20 by Wednesday, Oct. 3rd.

PROBE College Fair
What? Probe College Fair - Probe is an annual program of college fairs that are held throughout the state of Georgia. The program is managed by the Georgia Education Articulation Committee (GEAC), whose sole mission is to disseminate information and stimulate interest in post-secondary education for students in Georgia. Hundreds of colleges from across the nation attend Probe each year to reach thousands of Georgia high school juniors and seniors.
When? Tuesday, Sept. 18th, 11:00 am - 11:45 am (bus will load at 10:30)
Where? Forsyth Conference Center at Lanier Technical College, 3410 Ronald Reagan Blvd, Cumming, GA 30041 (loading bus at DHS)
Who? Denmark High School Juniors
DHS Counseling Department will be taking a bus to the Probe Fair so Juniors can attend. cost will be $5 (to cover transportation). Students will need to complete a field trip form and turn money into the counseling office by September 7th in order to attend. Field trip form can be picked up in the counseling office.
