My name is Laura Westbrook and I am thrilled to be joining the Mashburn family this year as a kindergarten teacher. After earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and working in sales and marketing for years, I made the life-changing decision to change directions and do something I feel passionate about. I went back to school and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education from Reinhardt University. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time with my husband, our friends and family, and our "four-legged child" named Olive. I am so excited to begin my first year of teaching!
My name is Marian Yeste and I am the Spanish kindergarten Teacher in the Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program at Mashburn Elementary. I am a native of Spain and I live in Cumming with my husband David and our daughters, Marian and Cynthia. I graduated with a Bachelors in Political Sciences from East London University, U.K. And I hold a Master’s Degree in Dispute Resolution from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. I have recently completed a Spanish teacher certification with a Dual Language Immersion Endorsement from Georgia State University, and I am excited to make this year of school a great year!
