BOE Names Brookwood ES and West Forsyth HS Principals for 22-23

Mrs. Rachel Moity, current assistant principal at Sharon Elementary, has been named the incoming principal for Brookwood Elementary. In 2008, Mrs. Moity began her career in Georgia serving as an elementary teacher in Gwinnett County until 2012 when she joined the Forsyth County Schools family at Vickery Creek Elementary as a teacher and instructional coach. In 2017, Mrs. Moity transitioned to Daves Creek Elementary serving as an assistant administrator for one year and then transitioned to Sharon Elementary as an assistant principal. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Loyola University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Georgia Southern University, and an Education Specialist degree from Georgia College and State University. 2021-22 Brookwood Elementary principal Tracey Smith has transferred to Kelly Mill Elementary for 2022-23.
 
Dr. Aaron Archambeau, current assistant principal of North Forsyth High, has been named the incoming principal for West Forsyth High. Dr. Archambeau began his career serving as a Career and Technical Education teacher in Fulton County from 2008-2015.  In 2015, Dr. Archambeau joined the Forsyth County Schools family at West Forsyth High teaching Career and Technical Education and serving as an assistant administrator during the 2017-208 school year. In 2018, he transitioned to Denmark High as an assistant principal until he transferred to North High in his current role in 2021. He holds a Bachelor of Science Business Administration and Management degree from the University of West Florida, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, Secondary Education from the University of West Florida, and a Doctorate of Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia. 2021-22 West Forsyth High principal Karl Mercer has transferred to the Alliance Academy for innovation for 2022-23.
