Good morning,

It is with pleasure that we announce that the Board approved Brian Nelson, currently NFHS Assistant Principal, as principal of Sharon Elementary.  Mr. Nelson came to Forsyth County Schools in 2020 from Cobb County as Assistant Principal at South Forsyth High School where he served for two years before transferring to North Forsyth High in 2022.  From 2006 to 2020, Mr. Nelson held several positions in Cobb County: Internal Consultant for the system and Advanced Placement Science teacher at both Wheeler and Osborne High Schools.  He holds an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia, Educational Leadership Certification from the University of West Georgia in Carrolton, Georgia, an M.S. in Science Education from Georgia Southern University in  Statesboro, Georgia, as well as a B.S. in Biology from Georgia Southern.
