War Eagles soar together! The past two days on campus have been wonderful! A big thank you to our students for modeling care and respect for one another and our staff by masking up, social distancing and washing hands regularly. Parents, please continue to model these safety precautions while on our campus as well. Seeing the excitement on students’ and teachers’ faces puts an exclamation point behind the value of human interaction! We want to keep our school open for face-to-face learning so it is critical we don’t become complacent in our actions. Additionally, please continue to check temperatures of students each morning and don’t send your student to school if they are exhibiting any symptoms of illness. Teachers are working diligently to make learning from home when necessary seamless and easy to stay caught up. Thank you to everyone for caring. Looking forward to week two. We are South Strong!
One side note, with the increased volume of car rider traffic, communication between parent and student is critical. Discuss timing with your student and decide if pulling in the lot makes more sense and is more courteous than waiting in and possibly holding up the entire car rider line. We do not want to back traffic onto Peachtree Parkway. If your student is coming from East Hall, for example, it will take them much longer to get to you than if they are in Main Hall. Remember even and odd days will look different. Thanks for increased communication. Our goal is a safe and efficient dismissal!
