Setting Up Canvas Parent App by logging into Classlink to Get Pairing Code on a Computer (Preferred Method)

Step 1: Log into your student(s) Classlink account on a computer (the mobile version has different instructions below)

Step 2: Select Canvas

Step 3: Select "Account" once in your student(s) Canvas account.

Step 4: Select "Settings"

Step 5: Select "Pair With Observer" **You will need to get a new code for each Canvas Parent account set up. 

Step 6: Download and setup the Canvas Parent App

Step 7: Select "Canvas Parent.."

Step 7: Enter the "Pairing Code" 

Setting Up Canvas Parent App by logging into Classlink to Get a Pairing Code on a Mobile Device  

Step 1: Prior to setting up a Canvas Parent app, you will need to download the Classlink and Canvas Student app to obtain the pairing code.

Step 2: Once downloaded, log into the Classlink app first and then select Canvas.  This will prompt the Canvas Student app to open and you will have to enter their login credentials to obtain the pairing code.

Step 3: Next, you proceed to download and create an "FCS Parent" account on the Canvas Parent app using the "Pairing Code". Each student will require their own code for each parent account created.
