Optimist Club Oratorical Contest

South Forsyth High School held its annual Optimist Club Oratorical Contest after school on Feb. 8th.  The topic was Where Are My Roots of Optimism.  Participants from South included Vidhur Prasanna, Daniel Varzari, Arnav Rao, Ayman Tawaalai, Vanshika Singisetti, Belen Gad, Rachita Iyer, Kimia Kavanroodi, Sanjana Ayyappan, and Riya Manchanda.

All students spoke very well at the event, making the final decision very difficult.  After lengthy deliberation and tallying, the volunteer judges from the sponsoring Sawnee-Cumming Optimist Club declared a male and female winner and runner up:

The winning female speaker was Rachita Iyer.

The female runner up was Riya Manchanda.

The winning male speaker was Arnav Rao.

The male runner up was Vidhur Prasanna.

Congratulations to all of the participants.
